Where the old meets the new

Emmer can be found inside the beautiful Ulriksdals Värdshus. The stately building was constructed as early as 1868 and carries many memories. Over the years, several restaurateurs have operated restaurants and held banquets here. In 2020, we opened the doors for Emmer restaurant with a vision to create a modern fine dining experience that also protects our environmental surroundings.

 

When we create our menus, we start from the conditions of agricultural cultivation. What we serve is fresh from the garden, and our menu is centered on the seasonal harvest available to us. We base our dishes and flavor profiles on modern Scandinavian gastronomy. Our chefs take great joy in experimenting with ingredients to find new, creative ways to cultivate a delicious and sustainable cuisine.

Emmer is based on our dream of being able to serve delicious food made from ingredients that are grown right outside the window. From your table, you can even see when the vegetables, berries and flowers grow. Visit us to experience the culinary creations our chefs and gardeners craft together.

Our chefs and gardeners work closely during all seasons to plan our menu. We focus on the cultivation of ingredients, as well as a sustainable approach to meat. All parts of the animal are taken care of. We serve modern Scandinavian food in a social and relaxed environment close to nature.

nature? We have three private rooms for large companies – ”drottning Silvias paviljong”, ”norra verandan”, and our ”chambre séparée”.
